DESTINATION RACE: WHAT TO BRING CHECKLIST

1. Pre-Race

  • ID/Driver's license
  • Registration email
  • Race number bib and timing chip
  • Plane ticket
  • Hotel confirmation
2. Race Essentials
  • Brace/Wrap (if needed)
  • Pain medication
  • Anti-chaff lotion
  • Sunscreen
  • Band-aid

Always have a checklist, so you don't forget anything!


3. Apparel for Race Day
  • Running Shoes 
  • Race shirt and shorts
  • (hat, gloves, vest and/or jacket for cold weather)
  • Running socks
  • Compression sleeves 
  • Race bib
  • Headphones (if permitted)
  • Phone
4. Food and Drink
  • Race Day breakfast
  • Water bottle/ hydration
  • Gels/energy bar

Have a plan of what you will eat before the race, especially if your hotel doesn't provide breakfast.

If you're traveling by car, pack an on-the-go oatmeal packet that you mix with hot water. 


5. Extra 
  • Safety pins
  • Baby wipes
  • Hand warmers (if it's cold)
  • Chapstick
