This hometown 5k is held in conjunction with Ohio’s largest one-day festival the Woollybear Festival. The flat and fast course winds throughout the local neighborhoods and starts and finishes outside of the Vermilion High School track.
The Woollybear Festival is the largest one day festival in the state of Ohio presented by the Vermilion Chamber of Commerce. Start the festivities early with this competitive 5k event. Enjoy the fall weather and the flat course, then relax all day at the Woollybear Parade. The 5k race starts at 7:30am. Following the 5k, families can head into the Vermilion High School stadium for the annual World’s Greatest Kids Race where kids from infants to 12 years old compete on the track!
