Movin' It For HFF 5K

Columbus, OH

My name is Emma Zid and I am currently a senior at Upper Arlington High School. For my senior capstone project I have decided to use my passion for running and exercise to help give the kids at The Homeless Families Foundation, an opportunity to pursue their self goals. Please join us for the first Movin’ It 5K Race/ Walk For Homeless Families Foundation on November 5th, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. at Griggs Reservoir. The race will be held in efforts to end the cycle of homelessness in the Columbus area. At Homeless Families Foundation (HFF) in Columbus, Oh, we have a goal to teach children the strength to grow independently and believe in themselves. One way HFF encourages children, is through exercise to build physical and mental strength. The need for tennis shoes, as well as indoor gym equipment for HFF is in high demand, especially with winter approaching. There is no official "fee" for the race, but we would life if each participant could donate one, or more pairs of gently used/ new tennis shoes for kid and adult sizes. Money donations can be made by clicking the link below, or on the day of the race. 100% of the donations will go to gym equipment for HFF at the DOWD center located in Columbus. Shoe bins will be provided at the race, along with live entertainment, food, and a race goody bag for each participant, we hope you can make it!
