These two popular races, the Killea 10 Mile and the 5k road races takes place on Sunday 14th April, with the 10 Mile race starting at 12.30 pm and the 5k starting at 1 pm.
There will be a choice of two runs on the day kicking off at 12.30pm with a 10 mile race. This race will start in Killea village and continue through Kyle and Gurteen, on to the main Dunkerrin-Templemore Road and back through Ballyheen, Lloydsboro and Killawardy to finish again in Killea village. This is a scenic and moderately challenging route that will be perfect preparation for anyone interested in completing a half-marathon over the next few months.
The 5km run/jog/walk on the day which will start at Killea National School and finish in Killea village, this race begins at 1pm.
We are delighted to have secured an Athletics Ireland permit for the event and there will be chip timing for runners in both races to ensure the most accurate results.
Athletes competing in the 10 mile will receive a Specially designed T Shirt, while athletes competing in the 5K will have a choice of buying a T Shirt or not. if you are interested in buying a T Shirt, you MUST register for the race before the 25th March.
