The Ryan Bourque Jamestown Playground Restoration Fund was created in order to honor the memory of fallen Jamestown Police Officer Ryan Bourque, who was tragically killed by a wrong-way drunk driver returning home from his shift. The night Officer Bourque was killed marked his one-year anniversary with the Jamestown Police Department. Ryan's parents, lee and Gary Bourque of Coventry asked that donations in their son's memory be put towards the new playground that was recently built in Jamestown, so that their sons name would persevere in the community he was working to protect and serve. The money will help the continuation of maintenance and upkeep, so that many generations can enjoy the playground for years to come.
