The first annual Bookin' It for TCS Libraries Character 5k is designed to fund Tuscaloosa City Schools' libraries and help all TCS libraries achieve exemplary status!
The inaugural Bookin' It for TCS Libraries Character 5k will be held at 8am on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at The Alberta School of Performing Arts. This race is designed to help fund Tuscaloosa City Schools' libraries in hopes that all TCS libraries are exemplary! On average, TCS library books are nearly 20 years old. After 8 years with no funding, and minimal funding since, TCS libraries are in desperate need of an update to their collections to best serve our students!
Participants are encouraged to dress like their favorite book character for the race, however this is not required.
Awards will be given for top qualifiers, as well as best costume, and highest school participation.
This is a rain or shine event. Registration fees are non-refundable.

To register in person, visit Wagner's Run/Walk in Midtown Village or any Tuscaloosa City Schools Library. Cash and check only. Make checks payable to Tuscaloosa City Schools Library Fund.
