Come join us to raise awareness related to the devastation of opiate abuse in our communities! Prevent the ZombieApocalypse: Run for their lives! strives to provide community awareness and education and healthy family activites in the hope of lessening the devastating impact of opiate abuse. This years partners the FCCRB, Preferred Family Healthcare, Washington Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Washington Inc. invite you to become a part of the solution and enjoy some healthy family time at the race and the PumpkinPALOOZA festival that will begin immediately following the races.
Heroin and other opiate based drugs cause users to behave like zombies, losing control of their bodies and their lives. These drugs are incredibly dangerous and addictive, and we need to educate youth and parents about how we can all help prevent this epidemic.
Registration will begin at 8; 5K starts at 9, 1 Mile Fun Run starts at 10am, and Award Ceremony will be held at 11am
Medals and Race Categories:
First, Second and Third Place awarded in each race, in the following categories:
5K – Under 13, 13-49, 50 and over (Male and Female)
1 Mile Fun Run—Under 13 (Male and Female)
Area resource providers, food vendors, and music will be on hand.
Runners will receive a goodie bag with helpful information and fun zombie stuff!
