The Ft. Zumwalt Education Foundation is proud to present the 7th annual Leadership 5K walk/run and 1 mile Family Fun Run hosted by the Ft. Zumwalt School District's Leadership classes. All proceeds from this family oriented event will go to help fund the Grow Your Own Teacher (GYOT) program. The GYOT Program allows the foundation to provide scholarships to Fort Zumwalt graduates working towards earning a degree and certification to teach in high needs subject areas.
The 5K course is certified by Fleet Feet and will be chip timed. The race begins and ends at Ft. Zumwalt North High School and takes runners through O'Fallon and by TR Hughes baseball stadium (Home of the River City Rascals).
5K participants will receive a tech t-shirt and goodie bag. The top runner in each age group will be awarded medals. Each runner will be cheered on by the Fort Zumwalt High School mascots, band, dancers, cheerleaders, and various other high school clubs and organizations.

Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female winners as well as the top three males and females in the following categories: 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over.
