Hero Run Benefitting the Wounded Warrior Project

The Hero Run has become one of the largest and most popular races in the Metro East. Offering a Fun Run, 5K and Half Marathon, the courses are a runner’s dream, FLAT! The Half Marathon route is certified through the USATF Association. The event benefits the Wounded Warrior Project, which is an organization that was formed to assist wounded soldiers after returning home from war. The Hero Run is an all-around fun race that has live music along the course to keep you moving and a route lined with American flags to keep you motivated! Make sure to stick around after the race for the popular Post Race Party with live music, food and beverages, vendors, bounce houses and a rock wall!

Packet Pick-Up
Packet pick-up will be held on October 1st and 2nd at Bergheger Chrysler. 220 W Main St, Mascoutah, IL 62258. 8am-6pm.
Pick up and race day registration will also be available starting at 6:30am at the site of the race.

Half Marathon
$40 per participant on or before July 2nd
$50 per participant on or after July 3rd

5K
$25 per participant on or before July 2nd
$30 per participant on or after July 3rd

Fun Run
$25 per participant 

$10 per age 12 and under participants*
Free to children under 5 years old**
* receive t-shirt but no bag
** do not receive t-shirt or bag (can pay $10 for t-shirt)

Awards
Top 3 overall male and females will get awards for 5K and half marathon. Age groups (top 3 males and females receive awards) are: 5K: 15 and under, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60 and up. Half Marathon: 19 and under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60 and up.

Awards ceremony will begin at roughly 11am. Be sure to stick around for the Post Race Party with live music, vendors, food and beverages until 1pm. Entertainment for the whole family including a rock wall, bounce houses, face painting and more! Information on parking will be available on race website. Performance dri-fit t-shirts will be offered to all participants over the age of 5 if signed up before September 18th, 2015. You may purchase extra t-shirts for $10 a piece on race website. Few extra t-shirts will be available for late registrations, no guarantee. All Half Marathon participants will receive finisher’s medals. Top finishers in 5K and Half Marathon will receive plaques. Race will be held rain or shine, no refunds.
