Half Marathon and 5K race/Walk with a free kids fun run.
It’s that time of year again; With over 500 runners you are sure to compete with somebody and test your endurance. The race distances are ½ Marathon (13.1 miles) and 5K (3.1 miles). We will also have a free kid’s run at 10:00am around Carlon Park. Winners will receive Artillery Shells fired from tanks out on the Yakima Training Center Army Base.
All participants will receive dog tags upon completion of the race as well as shirt and race bag! Register by September 1st to guarantee your shirt size. No shirts will be guaranteed after September 1st.
We will be using a chip timing system again this year to ensure accurate results as you cross the finish line. Last year the winning time was 1 hour 17 minutes… Do you have it in you to beat that time? The Japanese Army does and they will again be participating in this event, come help us bring the gold back to Selah!
