PACKET Pick Up:
All packet pick up locations are located at the DETF Registration area, immediately adjacent to the transition and finish line, in the Highline Lake State Park. We are limiting pickups to their assigned times below so we have enough chips to go around all weekend.
1. Saturday Race Packet Pick ups:
a. Friday from 4:00pm – 8:00pm.
b. Saturday from 6:00am – 7:30am.
2. Sunday Race Packet Pick ups:
a. Saturday from 4:00pm – 8:00pm.
b. Sunday from 6:00am – 7:30am.
 



Please remember to bring your photo ID and your valid USAT card (if a USAT annual member) to pick up your race packet. If you do not have an ID, we cannot release your packet to you, and you will not be allowed to race.

There will be no park entrance fees charged if you are coming for packet Pick Up only, however you will be limited to a 20 minute stay in the park. If you would like to stay longer than 20 minutes so you can check out the course, etc. then you must purchase a $7 daily park pass. There will be no park entrance fees charged for participants on race morning.

USAT LICENSE:
The 2019 Desert's Edge Tri Festival is a USAT Sanctioned event. All participants must be annual members of USA Triathlon, or purchase a $15 one-day license after registration for each day of racing. If you would like to purchase an annual USAT membership, you may do so at www.usatriathlon.org. If you need to purchase the one day license, please bring cash or check to pay onsite and sign the one day application.

WETSUIT RULES & RESOURCES:
Wetsuit Rules (based on USAT)
*all temps refer to surface water temperatures*
  • Under 50 degrees: Not suitable for open water swimming, even with a wetsuit
  • 50 to 65 degrees: Suitable for open water swim, but wetsuit is highly advised
  • 65-78 degrees: Suitable for swimming with or without a wetsuit. Sleeveless suits are popular at this temp.
  • 78-84 degrees: Race directors use their judgement to allow or not allow wetsuits at this range
  • Over 84 degrees: Wetsuits not allowed
~ Historically, it has been known to range from 60 to 80 degrees.~
