Please join us on Sunday, May 19, 2019, at 11:30 am for the 2nd Annual I Love Public Education 5K Run/ Walk at Wilkeson Point on the Buffalo Outer Harbor. There will be prizes, t-shirts, trophies, medals, food, beverage and fun! Overall winners Male & Female each receive trophies and a prize bag including gift cards and overnight stay at Hyatt. Age group winners will each receive prize bag and medal. Age group 2nd & 3rd place finishers will each receive medals.
Proceeds for the event will benefit post-prom activities in Western New York.
The 5K race will be preceded by a "Kids Fun Run" for children at 11:00 am with free prizes for all fun run entrants (FREE). This is a non-timed event for children ages 14 and under only. Participants must register to receive a prize.

START/FINISH
The 5K race will take place at Wilkeson Point on the Buffalo Outer Harbor with a start time set for 11:30am. The Kids Fun Run (Age 14 and under) starts at 11:00am at the race finish line.

REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUP
Online registration will remain open right up until the start of the race. Race day registration and packet pickup will take place at the park from 8:30am right up until the start of the race at 11:30 am. Paper applications can also be downloaded and mailed to the address shown.
- 5K Early Registration ............... $25 through 4/30/19
- 5K Open Registration ............... $30 5/1/19 through 5/12/19
- 5K Late Registration ................. $35 after 5/12/19
- 5K Student Entry (under 19) ..... $10/$20 after 5/12/19
- Kids Fun Run (non-timed) ......... FREE
* Race shirts will be guaranteed to everyone who registers for the 5K by May 13th. Extra shirts (if any) will be distributed on a first come, first-serve basis.
POST RACE CELEBRATION
Join us after the race for a post-race celebration including food, snacks, refreshments, music and awards ceremony! Every participant 21 years of age and older will receive drink ticket for microbrew beer or wine.
PARKING
There will be plenty of free parking a short distance from the start/finish line.
AGE GROUPS & AWARDS
Trophies will be presented to the 1st place overall male and female finishers along with a prize bag that includes gift cards and overnight stay at the Hyatt! The top male and female 5K runners in each of the following age groups will receive a prize bag and medal and 2nd and 3rd place finishers in each age group will receive medals.
5K Age Groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29. 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 70-74, 75-79, and 70 and older.

TIMING & FINISH LINE SERVICES
Gun start/chip finish timing services using industry-leading Jaguar Electronic RFID timing will be provided by Race Management Solutions. Results are updated throughout the race in real time and can be accessed at any time after crossing the finish line using any one of the following options:
