There will be a Family Fun Zone located near the end of the race finish line from 7:00 AM- 10:00 AM. The Family Fun Zone includes inflatables, games, face painting, food, music, etc. Awards will be given for the race and for the most spirited Apple Annie runner! Please come out and join us to run, walk, or play!
2017 Charities:
This year Athena League chose the Women's Health Fund at the Athens-Limestone Hospital Foundation to be our charity of choice. Our friend and fellow Athena League member, Britney Carter, fought breast cancer this year. She showed us her strength, grace, and determination.
The Women's Health Fund is used for mammogram scholarships, equipment used in Women's Health, and other various women's health needs. One in eight women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime- we feel it is our responsibility to help lower this statistic and find better methods of detection, care and life span. Giving to this fund helps make this possible.
