Lions STEPS for Pediatric Cancer 5K Run and 1K Fun Walk
Cancer is the #1 killer from disease in children 15 years of age and younger. Yet pediatric cancer research remains severely underfunded. Lions Clubs throughout Ohio have STEPPED up to raise funds for pediatric cancer research. This race is one of many events Lions Clubs throughout Ohio are launching during the month of September and October to raise funds for Pediatric Cancer Research. Net proceeds from this race will go to oncology research at Children’s hospitals throughout Ohio, in the locale of the event. Here are the race details:
Race Day Time:
Race day registration and packet pickup begins at 8am
5K Race starts at 10am
1K Fun Walk starts at 10:15am
Entry Fee:
5K Run and 1K Fun Walk $30.00 with t-shirt (available through 9/22)
t-shirts for those who register after 9/22 and day of will be available while supply lasts and aren't guaranteed.
Age Groups:
10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-59, 60 and over
5K Awards:
Top three male and female finishers and top three male and female in each age group will receive awards
1k Fun Walk finishers will receive a finisher's certificate
